New Mailing screen takes a long time to load

Drupal: 7.14
CiviCRM: 4.1.5

When creating a new mailing, it can take several minutes for the "New Mailing" screen to load. Is there any way to speed up the process? We have a large number of old mailings. Does that slow things down?

wow, several mins to load the New Mailing form? should be relatively quick, IMO

seems like there might be a civi bug which is doing something stupid. Would be good if someone from your org can take a look under the hood and see whats happening and why
