Use cases for CiviAccounts ?

I'm looking for small and understandable use cases for CiviAccounts. I'm been through http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/CiviAccounts+4.3 but I am havong trouble understanding how I can test this.

In addition, on the Joomla sandbox, I get permission issues when trying some of the Contribute > Accounting menus ...

Doing anything with money will exercise CiviAccounts. I would encourage you to try out every sort of contribution, membership, and event participation scenario you can think of, with and without complex price sets, without and without recurring transactions, online and offline, with and without multiple participants, etc.

Also, try editing transactions in various ways to change the prices, etc.

Then try using the Accounting Batch functionality to export the data. And maybe try doing a few data entry batches of Contributions and Memberships.
