Wordpress ACL testing question
February 10, 2013, 06:08:44 am
I am a complete nubee with Civi, so let me appologize for that first.  We are looking at 4.3 because we would prefer to use Wordpress to manage our member and volunteer signups.

Our thought is to give the general public the ability to purchase a membership through CiviMember.  In order to do that, we need ACL with Wordpress so that we can present membership options to the public.

While attempting to evaluate I noticed that I could not configure Wordpress to allow new signups as the Demo account appears to be restricted, and with good reason.  I see ACL is implemented in this Alpha release and I can click buttons, but I am not sure if I can present signup pages to new users the way I think I should be able to.

Is there a way to evaluate membership signup functioinality with the current sandbox?

Any tips or tricks on how to get this type of functionality with 4.2.x would be very welcome!

Thank you,

Rob

We'd recommend you download and install a copy of the 4.3 alpha version to test drive that functionality

Will make it a lot easier for you to customize and tweak various things locally
