PCP with Joomla 2.5.x
February 15, 2013, 06:36:27 am
I am running the following:

Joomla 2.5.9
Civic 2.4.7
PHP 5.3.10
MySQL 5.0.96

Whenever a user tries to create a Personal Contribution Page the following error is returned:

Supporter profile is not set for this Personal Campaign Page or the profile is disabled.

From what I can tell it is an incompatibility with Joomla libs and Civic libs (HTMLPurifier).

The most recent reports I could find are here:

http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=25349.0

and

http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-10530

The problem is that there is no suggested work-around/fix.  The JIRA was just closed with "Won't Fix".  The demo site has this functionality working and is a 2.5.8 instance of Joomla! so someone has figured out a hack or something to work around the HTMLPurifier issue.

I really would love to make this work so any suggestions on a resolution (even if is as undesirable as altering Joomla! core code) would make me a happy man.

Even if the answer is something like it will work on Joomla! 3.0 it would be a start.

By the way.... thanks to the authors and maintainers for this awesome nonprofit solution.

Thanks for the help,

JP

note that bug was fixed here:

http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-11304

Check the supporter profile and see if that is enabled

Thank you so much for the reply.

So if I read the JIRA correctly we need to wait for the 4.2.8 release to be posted to see the bug resolved?

Thanks again,

JP

dont remember exactly, but i think most of the fixes were present for 4.2.7. the last few changes were to make it more drupal friendly and then rolled back etc
