Manage Events: Persist event search params after edit
February 15, 2013, 08:28:43 am
Say I've got 100+ events, and I need to make a change to 10 of them that have a similar title -- like for example, changing the registration end date.  I go to Manage Events, then search by title, and click one of the "Configure" links for the first event I need to change.  I make my change, then click "Save and Done."

Now I'm returned to the event list with the search reset, so I have to re-enter my search params before I can edit the next event.  Very annoying.

Wouldn't it be great if my original search params persisted after I edited each event?

I suspect this improvement could also be useful in other areas, like searching and editing a set of contacts, participants, contributions, etc.

hey jim:

we have this working for contacts, but have not moved the change to the other components.

If you are willing to work on this and contribute a patch tht would be great. the main thing is you need to pass the search qfKey along to the various actions, which when done call the search url back with the qfKey
