Preview recipients of mass mailings

I've tried googling around and searching on the forum, with no luck.

When I send a mailing in CiviMail I cannot find a way to preview a complete list of recipients of the malining I am sending.

i see the number of recipients: "Total Recipients", but it is not clickable, and I haven't found a way to see a list before the actual sending.

Of course I define recipient with groups, etc., so in theory I know whom am I writing to. But being anxious before each mail sending, having a quick look at the list of email adressess I am sending the mail to, would confirm that I am actually sending it to the right kind of recipients and calm down my worries.

any help greatly appreciated.

I don't know of a way, but I see the benefit of what you are wanting - and it also helps you see who is on the actual list - versus who is in the Group (but may be 'on hold' due to bounces etc)

If you have some development skills/resources to put in to this, it may be worth popping on to IRC to see what the core team think would be involved

Most of the code for this is already present in other parts of Civi and needs a bit of generalization and tests. I suspect this is a 3-10 hour project.

If you would like to contribute code and tests to get this into the main code base that would really help

I was wishing for the proposed report when I found this old posting.  I'm working a problem where there seems to be no reason for certain contacts not being selected for mailing, from a single static group.  What I'd love to see would be a report with name and email of each contact in the specified group(s), a flag indicating whether the contact was included, and some "reason" indicator for any rejected contact.  It would save me some grief right now.  In this case I'll have to learn to turn on MySQL query tracking.
