PDF Creation Image Error

Has anyone else ever gotten the error "DOMPDF_ENABLE_REMOTE is set to FALSE" when creating a PDF letter that has an image in it, with an X through a box where the image is supposed to be?  I can fix this in the DOMPDF config file by setting the option to TRUE, but all my other sites have the option set to FALSE and they have no problem. This site has WordPress 3.5 and I thought maybe it was a conflict with a plugin.

This error is also happening on Joomla 2.5.9 and CiviCRM 4.2.8 installation.

I got the same in error in when i upgrade from civi416 to civi427 on Drupal6.28. Earlier it was working ok and thedompdf_config.custom.inc.php  was commented .

But when i uncomment the dompdf.config.php file in new version civi427 .../civicrm/packages/dompdf/dompdf_config.custom.inc.php the define("DOMPDF_ENABLE_REMOTE", true) it started working.

it may not be the right place to do it. as future upgrade will overwrite it. I dont see any security implication on this.

Did any body got other workaround with this.

You are right in this, in fact this has been resolved in future version under jira ticket http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-12165. For further queries please check the comments.
