Hi - is there a way to fix the following issue?

bcc and cc email addresses appearing in the To field when a confirmation email is sent out to people who register for events using civievent or give donations in civicontribute.

The usual behavior of bcc fields is that the bcc email should not be visible in the confirmation email going out to the person signing up for an event or donating and the bcc email recipient should receive the email with just their name in the email field or something close to that.

While searching around to fix this issue, I did come across a patch, which did not work for me when I applied it.  I appreciate any efforts in assisting me with this problem.

I'm assuming u r using smtp. This is more a bug in the underlying smtp library (or protocol?) and we can investigate, but we cant say for sure it will be fixed. The bug detail in all its glory is here:

i suspect it will be between a 5-20 hour project to investigate and potentially fix
