Where to find Discount

I would like to test the discount functionality, but I can't find it.
In the extensions directory I can only find the 4.2 version.
And in all the menu items I can't find a link to discount options.

Can anybody give me a place to look?

we just released the 2.0 version of this a few days ago. You should find it in your extensions directory. This should be compatible with 4.2.7+ and 4.3

http://crm_43/civicrm/admin/extensions?reset=1

Thanks Lobo!
I went to the extensions directory and found it there (http://civicrm.org/extensions/cividiscount-extension/cividiscount-extension).
I had to download it manually, my site won't connect to the extensions directory.

I'll try it out and will post my findings.

Can CiviDiscount be added to the sandbox Demo for testing?

I get an error message when trying to install it, which I think relates to permissions.

u get an error message when u try to install it in sandbox?

adding it to sandbox is a bit more involved, since we reload those db's with a pristine copy every day or so

OK, sounds a bit complicated to test on sandbox.

The error was:

Extension Upgrade Failed
Failed to move /tmp/tmp-qZKF4f//org.civicrm.module.cividiscount-2.0 to /var/www/sandbox.drupal.civicrm.org/public/sites/sandbox.drupal.civicrm.org/files/civicrm/upload/org.civicrm.module.cividiscount

Installing the extension on sandbox also produces these errors:

    Warning: rename(/tmp/tmp-jxXGmA//org.civicrm.module.cividiscount-2.0,/var/www/sandbox.drupal.civicrm.org/public/sites/sandbox.drupal.civicrm.org/files/civicrm/upload/org.civicrm.module.cividiscount): Success in CRM_Utils_File::replaceDir() (line 597 of /var/www/drupal7.civicrm.org/svn/civicrm43/CRM/Utils/File.php).

This appears to be an open PHP bug: https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=54097

I've enabled the work-around ( http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-11987 , r45904 ) and deployed it to sandbox.

Has anyone enabled this on our own site (civicrm.org)? need to set up discounts for our upcoming sprints, etc.

I have enabled the CiviDiscount extension and added a discount for several of my memberships.  I cannot seem to find out how to get it to actually show up on a contribution form.  Is there some additional admin needed to allow someone to enter the code or have it automatically apply on a contribution?

have u tried it on a membership page?

another option is to append:

discountcode=YOUR_DISCOUNT_CODE

to your GET string in a contrib / event page

Yes, after some refreshing I found the discount code show up at the top of my contrib page for a membership.  I will try to get it to work on an event today.  Thanks
