Good fit for a Convention and Visitors Bureau
February 26, 2013, 08:01:22 pm
Hi Everyone, first time looking around CiviCRM and so far it looks great.

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with any CVBs (Convention and Visitors Bureau) who use CiviCRM.

Most CVB's are non profit, and are focused on driving tourism through leisure marketing and business sales for a destination (city or region).  We are looking at different open source CRM projects that would be a good fit for some customization.

Membership Management
Tracking Sales (conventions, tour groups, events, etc)
Members could see activity around sales related to them
Customized Reporting

Just curious if anyone has seen a similar project.

Thanks in advance.

I know a number of Chambers of Commerce are using Civi, but not sure about CVB's (or how similar the req's are). I did tweet your post so maybe some folks will jump in. You could also try a google search on these terms if you haven't already.
