Top menu appearing on front end forms and at the top of the backend
February 28, 2013, 12:48:39 pm
When I first went into administrator access to CiviCRM, I noticed two things.  Dashboard loading appeared (I currently do not have any report-lets on the dashboard) and menu was at the top.   Then I pulled up a CiviReport from the front end and the menu bar was at the top of the page.

One additional note is that I am on Hostgator which limits the amount of RAM I can use.  I have never been able to use the Dashboard when you login due to the memory requirements.  Does the CiviCRM Home page now require more memory?

Here are the settings for shared space on Hostgator:
safe mode = Off (cannot adjust)
memory_limit = 256M (MAXIMUM)
max_execution_time = 30 (MAXIMUM in seconds)
max_input_time = 60 (MAXIMUM in seconds)
post_max_size = 64M (MAXIMUM)
upload_max_filesize = 64M (MAXIMUM)
enable_dl = Off (cannot adjust) -

Unfortunately my fix of this issue was a few minutes too late to make it into this beta release but will be in the next one.

You can see it now working correctly on http://sandbox.joomla.civicrm.org/

Thanks Coleman

Are there any dashlets that are being loaded by default?  With Hostgator memory constraints, I am concerned if I load I will be locked out of CiviCRM.  I cannot get past the Dashlet loading.

Might want to consider spending the few additional $$$ and switching to a better host. CiviHosting (no affliation in any way) has really cheap prices

not worth the hassle of living under a not-so-great hosting situation. Civi is a resource hog (and unlikely to change anytime soon)
