Is it possible to mark an offline event registration as 'pay later'

When an Event is set up with online registration and a 'Pay Later' option it is not possible to mark the registration as 'Pay Later' when completing an offline registration.
Therefore no invoice details are sent to the registrant, is this an oversight of have I omitted something in the setup?

You can mark the contribution in any status you want, including Pending (which is what pay later marks it as)
