Extended address breaks event Location settings page
March 05, 2013, 01:32:29 am
I created a few fields that I am using to extend the Address fields. This allows us to input the host organization's name, the location's web address, etc. all on the same page where we're inputting the location's information.

I add the fields and they show up on the event's Location page. Everything is loading fine.

I input the data into all the address fields, including the new extended ones.

I save the page.

The page no longer loads properly - I get nothing between the event configuration tabs and the footer. I attached a screenshot to show the issue.

If I go and delete all the custom fields I used to extend the address, then the page loads correctly again.

What could be causing this? Is it because I am using an older version of CiviCRM? I'm awaiting some upgrades on the server to PHP and such so that I can upgrade to the latest version.

FYI: We're using the feature that lets you switch out words on the site so that it says Trainings instead of Events.

This would be a good test for 4.3

Can you please do this on our sandbox servers and see if it works there. If not, do file an issue and we'll hopefully get to it in the beta cycle

Sure thing. I'll see about testing there. It's a "version 2.0" kind of thing for the site I'm working on, so it's not something I need this moment, but it would be great to get it figured out so I could add it later.
