Payment Processor in Event not working
March 05, 2013, 06:28:54 am
Hi all,

I'm currently working on a site using a child of the Pinboard theme in Wordpress, and it uses CiviEvent and CiviCRM's payment processors for online event registration.

I'm having a problem with event registration that I hoped someone could help me with (or at least point me in the right direction to solve).

The main issue:
- Currently the event uses a payment processor for PayPal (Express) payments and the option to Pay Later. The Pay Later is working as it should. However, when the PayPal Express option is selected on the live site, the PayPal button does not appear (nor does any button). The PayPal payment button does appear, however, on the test version.

We originally used the PayPay Standard option for the processor, but when it was selected it tried to process the registration like Pay Later had been selected and it never takes the user to PayPal to complete the payment.

I have verified that it isn't a plugin conflict, and the payment processor works fine through a Contribution. It's only through an Event that it fails to work properly.

Any idea where I could look to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Can you try and do the below using WP's default theme (2012 or 2013) and see if paypal standard works nicely with that theme

thanx

I switched the theme to 2012 and the PayPal button appears as it should on the live site.

So perhaps a theme issue?

Anyone else have issues with Paypal or Civi working in one theme but not another? It'd be great if there was a work-around. I'd hate to have to completely recreate the site with a new theme just to get the Paypal button to appear.
