Troubleshooting "Send email" from search results screen

My client sends out emails in batches of 25 by doing a group search, then selecting all the records on a screen (there are only 25 listed at a time), then selects "Send email" and types in the message.

They are getting an error - The first time, they said it wouldn't let them send any email at all; then a second try it kept asking to indicate who the email was going to be sent to, although the recipients had been checked.

If I select myself, the message is correctly sent. What logs can I look at to try and troubleshoot this?

If you and your client both have equal rights to the system and both do the same procedure, you should get the same result. Sounds to me like you and they are not doing exactly the same thing.

I was hoping that there might be a log I could look at to help me pinpoint the problem. Is there? Are you suggesting that I watch them do this? How can I help fix this?

You can enable CiviCRM error logging but that only will work if there is an error.
