Fatal Error: Call to ... postProcessHook() ... Registration/Confirm.php

Test-driving an event registration form, in 4.3.alpha2, leads to the following error:
Code: [Select]
Call to a member function postProcessHook() on a non-object in /civicrm/CRM/Event/Form/Registration/Confirm.php on line 788
I have configured a PayPal standard payment processor, and have selected it as a payment option for the event registration.

What can I do to troubleshoot this error?

Upgrading to  4.3.beta1 seems to have resolved this issue. Is there a unit test that can cover this in the future?
