Filter report on price options
March 07, 2013, 12:10:31 pm
I have an event that uses a Price Set and within that Price Set are a couple of field labels and within them are differing price options. For example one of the field labels is ‘Field Trips’ and within that are two price options, ‘Potomac River’ and ‘Main Street’. Is there a way to run a report filtering on these price options in any way? I would like to run a report and see who chose which ones, basically, how many people are going to each of those field trips.

I have been wrestling with a similar issue. The Extended report extension should help with this but I have been having trouble getting it to run on my install.

Under Search/Custom Searches there is a search called "Price Set Details for Event Participants" it provides a list of participants and who selected what. It does not provide totals but you can export the data and total things up in a spreadsheet.

Hope it helps

That sounds about perfect but when I run the report I get this:
Quote
Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
DB Error: no such field
Return to home page.
Not sure why...

what version of civi? might want to check the CiviCRM.*.log files to see a more detailed error message. In the past, i remember this error showing up due to price fields being deleted / disabled etc

That was very helpful. If I reenable the two options that were disabled then I can run the report. So I did that and then promptly disabled them again. I also looked for the civicrm.log file under uploads, which is where I have the temporary files set to in CiviCRM Upload Directories. Unfortunately I cannot find this file.
