CiviCRM with Drupal and Organic Groups?
March 19, 2008, 03:25:15 am
Hi everyone,
This is my first post - started testing civicrm with drupal only yesterday and really like it so far. My project is a simple e-learning platform which needs users (hopefully civicrm contacts) in classrooms (which will be organic groups).

As I can see from here: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Organic+Groups+CiviCRM+Synchronization, there supposedly is a Module "CiviCRM OG Sync" included in the civicrm package. The documentation there says "Once the module is enabled via Drupal Administer » Modules - it will automatically create 2 CiviCRM groups for existing each Organic Group:" I'm not sure if this means the regular civicrm module or the civicrm og sync module. On my modules site I can only enable the regular civicrm module, but I can see the og sync module in the sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal directory. How can I enable this module? I've been trying for hours and cant find what I'm missing. Hope to find some help here.

Thanks
Anja

Anja:

In your modules/civicrm/drupal folder, there is "civicrm_og_sync.info.txt". Rename it to "civicrm_og_sync.info" , then you will be able to see this module in drupal module listing.

Thank you, that was it! So easy... Might wanna add that to the wiki page?
Other than that you just made my day :-)
