Joomla Contribution Page Layout Messed Up

I am using CiviCRM 4.2.7 on Joomla 2.5.9. The layout of the contribution page is all messed up (see attached screen snip). I have looked at the Contribution.tpl file but cannot figure out what to change.

Any pointers appreciated.

what template are you using? can u switch to the default joomla template and see if that fixes the issue (in which case we also know it is some template conflict issue)

It is indeed the template that is causing the problem. Thanks for the pointer - did not occur to me to look there. Since I have to use that template - where should I start looking to fix the issue?

Looks like CSS conflicts so you would need HTML/CSS skills to debug this. If you have those, then try examining the page elements with Firebug for Firefox.
