Test-drives of contribution pages switch to live contribution pages

This is CiviCRM 3.4.5 on Drupal 6.28, PHP 5.3.10, and MySQL 5.5.29.

I am attempting to test drive a contribution page. The test drive link works properly and I am taken to the contribution page with a notice that I'm test driving.

After filling and submitting the form, I am taken to the confirmation page. The test drive notice is gone, however, and the page appears to be the live version.

If I use the Go Back button I am returned to the contribution page and the test drive notice is still gone.

The problem has appeared across multiple browsers and on both my local machine and on a remote development server.

I'm not familiar with CiviCRM's codebase, but I know how to use a PHP debugger, so I can provide information from that if anyone requests it.

Hi Daniel,

That's a pretty old version of CiviCRM - so two suggestions:
* You'll definitely get more useful help if you're running a current version
* You may want to check the bug tracker with regard to this (issues.civicrm.org)

However, I strongly suspect the second suggestion is unnecessary - I strongly suspect that this issue doesn't exist in current versions, I think we'd hear a lot more about it!

Hey Jon,

Thanks for the reply. I'll try bringing Civi up to 3.4.8 and see if that helps. Unfortunately, a Civi 4.0 upgrade is outside the scope of my project. I'll report back here with my results.

No problem Daniel.  As a general rule, when you encounter a bug, the first thing folks will want you to do is see if the problem exists on the demo server (demo.civicrm.org).  If it doesn't, it's not a bug in the current version of core, which rules out a whole mess of remediation approaches.
