Stopgap Attendance Solution?

Hi all,

I'm consider CiviCRM for our church and am familiar with the MIH campaign for recurring events (with the ability to take attendance).

However, I'm wondering what the rest of you use for tracking attendance now?

I built a Drupal module (a few years ago) that created a set of events for a "course" like you are talking about. The user entered the details of the course the code created (for example) an event for that course once a week for the next 10 weeks. Then they just used those events normally. :)

It's for Drupal 6 and anyway was fairly customized for that site. But it's a fairly simple tool to recreate I think.

Hi. I'm afraid we're currently recording attendance in Excel which isn't at all satisfactory to have a different system... which is why I'm pushing for the Civi Make It Happen on Recurring Events! I'll be updating the Wiki in the next week or so and it's part of the fundraising push for Civi 4.4 so do take a look at http://civicrm.org/content/make-it-happen and give whatever you can, however small!
