This is minor, but annoying - and hopefully fairly easily addressed:

Attaching a document for an event invitation, for example, is common practice; unless I'm missing something the only way site users can easily do this without needing to access the server would be creating a custom field for the file upload.

Unfortunately, the field appears whether or not there's any file attached, which can be confusing insofar it looks like the person who posted the event may have neglected to upload the required document.

I would suggest that the field should only appear if the content exists; this would be the expected behavior. Just sayin'.
