Graceful error handling
March 18, 2013, 09:15:11 am

I know that this is not a bug, but is there a way to have Civi respond with a better 40x message when something is not configured correctly rather than displaying an error message as shown when visting the following:

http://sandbox.drupal.civicrm.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=6

This type of display is fine for an admin, but is not something I would generally want members to see.

if you have any ideas / mockups on what a better page might be, please do post them.

There are cases, where the admin has not taken the time/effort to set things up properly (such as your example etc). In this case, we can deliver the error in a much nicer template but the problem does not go away :)

Thanks, I will look into this.  I unfortunately inherited a mess of a civicrm / drupal integration and am slowly working my way to fixing all the issues.  Thanks Lobo!
