Can't localize to my language
March 24, 2013, 12:12:26 pm
Hello everyone,

I'm new to this interesting software. I tried to localize the environment to my native language.

I followed the installation process step-by-step as it appeared on the support webpage but I came accross some issues:

1. Before uploading the "l10n" folder to .../components/com-civicrm/ I saw that the "civicrm" folder did not exist in that specific location, so I created it

2. After creating the folder and uploading it to ../component/com-civicrm/civicrm/l10n/ nothing has changes in the drop-box (CiviCRM » Administer CiviCRM »Localization »Language, Currency, Location » Default Language). Meaning that Hebrew was not added to that drop-box (eventhough I saw this folder exists in civicrm-4.2.8-l10n.tar.gz).

Could someone please explain to me how could I fix this problem so I could localize to Hebrew?

Thank you very much,
Ofer.

1. check in administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/l10n/

thats where all the civicrm language files reside

Thanks ! It works like a charm :)

I installed it in "/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/l10n/" instead of "administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/l10n/".
