Civicrm clickatell and unicode sms messages

I have been trying to get civicrm to send sms messages that have international chars (I have greek utf8 chars in civi fields), but I just get bad chars in the received message.

Been looking for solution - any help is appreciated.

Can you put a debug statement in your SMS provider's send function (if clickatell, in Clickatell.php) and see what Civi is sending it. Might need to send another option and/or adjust some setting in the SMS provider settings?
