The Connected Cause - a marketing effort by Heller Consulting
March 26, 2013, 07:05:40 am
I found this link on LinkedIn..
http://www.linkedin.com/news?viewArticle=&articleID=31&gid=2474916&type=member&item=225081096&articleURL=http%3A%2F%2Ftheconnectedcause%2Ecom%2Fjoin-us-for-get-crmready-webinar-series%2F2013%2F03%2F20%2F%3Fsthash%2EntFMCXvt%2Emjjo&urlhash=-V4i&trk=group_most_popular-0-b-shrttl
which invites people to join their free webinar series "Get CRMready™" http://theconnectedcause.com/getcrmready/ which I have signed up for just to check them out.

Heller Consulting http://www.teamheller.com/ (who are located at 1736 Franklin Street, Suite 600, Oakland, CA 94612) present themselves as a software consulting firm for non-profits, but their free eBook which can download from http://theconnectedcause.com/donorapps/ reads like a catalog of SalesForce resellers to the non-profit community.
I have to wonder if they are a SalesForce reseller themselves, or whether they really are independent?

I wonder if someone should get along to see them, and find out what they know about CiviCRM, and whether they might even consider sending someone to the San Francisco conference next month?

Mark

I participated in their webinar (passively, ie I did not ask any questions) yesterday, and I felt it was really very interesting and useful.
Here is the recording of the webinar.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nmM-p23WRU&list=PL2J_DbIt3h9tHiXX6E7B2t5ekEHCfV5c2&index=1 .. it runs for about an hour, so you need to plan to set aside that length of time if you want to hear it all.  It does talk positively about Saas solutions, particularly for smaller organisations.

It seems that Heller Consulting are a consulting firm providing impartial advice to not-for-profit organisations on fundraising and constituent management system, ie are not biassed towards any particular solution-provider.  I have met a similar firm here in London (http://purple-vision.com/), and it is well-worth getting to know these people, as they can influence the clients they work with and signpost them towards the solution they consider to be most appropriate for that specific client, and so it is in their interest and ours that we establish and develop relationships with firms like this to keep them up-to-date with what we are doing, so that they can give accurate and current information to their clients about us (among a range of potential solutions).

For Heller Consulting, I can do what I can from here, but it would be good, as they are not so far from San Francisco, that someone should go and see them, and establish such a relationship.  At the very least, someone should invite them to send someone along to next week's CiviCon.

Mark

PS  They also now have a group in LinkedIn.. http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=4924336&trk=anet_ug_hm ..which you have to apply to join.

Lobo

I'll do what I can of course, but you're so much nearer than I am.
