Applying Custom Data Attributes to Target Contacts in Activity Report
March 26, 2013, 09:07:45 pm
We're still seeing this issue in Civi 4.0.5 though it looks like a fix was implemented ; http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,15782.msg75641.html#msg75641

Similar to what's mentioned in the thread, client wants to view all activities performed by their communications staff on target contacts having such and such attributes.

Any way to generate custom data fields, such as location, that apply to the target contacts rather than the source contact (of the activity). Would love to here that we're just missing something obvious or do we need to apply the patch mentioned in the thread? Any help appreciated, H

I don't think this was 'fixed'.  It is basically two different use cases.   Two approaches I can see is either adding a set of custom data for both target and source or defining two reports.  Either would require some custom coding.

There is a report called 'extended activity report' in the Extended report extension that allows you to select custom data from target, source or assignee contact for the report

Thanks Eileen, the team is checking into this. Just saw the latest version of civi 4.2, and it appears the default still shows the assigner's address contact info if those are what's selected in the report criteria. H

yeah - you have to install the extended reports custom extension to get the report I mentioned
