It was an error in my php.ini file that my host corrected.


My host unexpectedly upgraded my site from PHP 5.2.17 to 5.3 today.  I have two Civi sites, one running 3.3.5 (unsupported, I know) and the other running 4.1.6.  After the PHP upgrade, neither of them works properly.

With the 3.3.5 version, I can get to the main Civi page, but every time I try to access a menu item or a contact, all I get is a white screen.  The 4.1.6 version doesn't even let me get that far.  Also, profiles aren't accessible from the front end.

I've been scratching my head trying to figure it out why it would behave this way.  Does anyone have any thoughts?

can you give more details on the errors or warnings or notices you are seeing for 4.1.6 with php 5.3?

What is your CMS and version?

When you get a white screen, can you look in the server logs for an error message?
