Authorize.net MD5 Hash
March 28, 2013, 10:27:13 am
This is a bit of a silly issue, except for the fact that it's affecting a migration to CiviCRM from the existing Ubercart system that's being used for membership purchases.

Customer is currently using Authorize.net as the payment gateway for Ubercart. I've set it up with the same account credentials. The MD5 hash that they've configured, though, has a "greater than" symbol (>) in it. When it's saved, it gets transformed into ">". I've tested this on the sandbox with 4.3 the same thing happens. Although I've not done exhaustive testing, other special characters seem to be unaffected.

I ran a transaction against a CiviCRM set up with an Authorize.net developer account, and one transaction seemed to go through, but subsequent ones fail:

Quote
Payment Processor Error message
9003: MD5 Verification failed

There's a configuration (set up but disabled) in the 4.3 Drupal Sandbox that shows the transformation of the > and < to > and <
