Installing CiviCRM in Wordpress on Godaddy

Hi, we're trying to install CiviCRM in our Godaddy shared hosting account in a WordPress site. We've installed Wordpress 3.5.1 and in the process of installing the latest version of CiviCRM the installer insists on MySQL 5.1. Godaddy are using 5.0 with no immediate likelihood of upgrading.
But CiviCRM requirements for installation say 5.0 is Ok.
What can we do?
And are there any other problems we might meet in installing CiviCRM on Godaddy?

can you point us to the page where it says 5.0 is ok? we should fix that page

you definitely need a more recent version of mysql. Might want to consider a better hosting service like civihosting.com instead which specializes in civicrm

Hi, sorry, I've been looking everywhere for that page. Perhaps we were using an outdated Wordpress guide from a link from some other site.
Anyway, your installation guide for WordPress is very clear.
