Table 'civicrm.civicrm_domain' doesn't exist installing CiviCRM on Mac OS X
March 22, 2008, 08:59:49 am
Hi There,

I got an error while installing CiviCRM on a Mac Server. The error is given below as:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

Please review the CiviCRM Installation Guide and try searching the CiviCRM Mailing List Archives for information on the error below.

Database Error Code: Table 'civicrm.civicrm_domain' doesn't exist, 1146

Error Details:

[db_error: message="DB Error: no such table" code=-18 mode=callback callback=CRM_Core_Error::handle prefix="" info="SELECT config_backend FROM civicrm_domain WHERE ( civicrm_domain.id = 1 ) [nativecode=1146 ** Table 'civicrm.civicrm_domain' doesn't exist]"]

I followed the instructions given in CiviCRM installation guide for Mac OS X at http://denver.pirg.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/wiki/MacOsXinstallationGuide

Can you kindly let me know that what I am missing.

Thanks,
Rizwan

I'm pretty sure these install docs are now obsolete - and you definitely don't have a complete install (database has not been configured with required tables and data).

If you're trying to install the latest "Standalone" version of CiviCRM - docs are in progress (Wes Morgan is working on completing them shortly). Otherwise, please use the install docs on the CiviCRM wiki - starting at:
