How can i add drupal form elements in civicrm profile
April 04, 2013, 10:14:01 pm
Hi i am using civicrm 4.2.8 with drupal 7.

I wanted to add some drupal field in civicrm profile for collecting user information.
The drupal text field is of type autocomplete and it is depending upon other 2 drupal select list for filtering the search.

Using civicrm custom fields i am not able to use drupal function like form_validate and submit

I want to merge the drupal form elemets with civicrm profile say profile id= 1
Any idea how can i do it?

Thanks.

No, you cannot mix civicrm and drupal's form layer. To add more fields to civicrm profile, use civicrm forms and civi's form layer

You could also go the other way, adding civi fields to a drupal form.  Webform Integration for CiviCRM lets you do this.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.
