Using search builder for finding contributions by before currentdate

I am trying to use the Search Builder to create a search that uses a variable contribution date (current date) instead of an absolute date (ie 20130405).

I tried using Contribution Receive Date < CURDATE() but that didn't work. Is this even possible? If so, how can I accomplish this?

variable dates are not possible in the current version of civicrm. Would definitely be a great improvement, so patches for this would help

You should check the search builder in 4.3, a lot slicker and friendlier
