Confused with the documentation
April 09, 2013, 06:07:42 am
I am configuring Civicrm to send schedule sending emails and I am following the book civiccrm book on the site (Sorry couldn't include the link, forum doesn't allow me to post a link yet)

I am using Civicrm 4.2 on Drupal 7.15

I have configured outbound mail successfully and set it to use SMTP. I have received the test mail that says "SMTP settings are correct"

I am setting up my cronjobs.
I checked my PHP version and its PHP 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.6 with Suhosin-Patch (cli) (built: Mar 11 2013 14:31:48)

The next step in the document says
"The following is complete cron configuration to handle CiviCRM's mail requirements:" and gives me a set of paraneters. Where do I put these ?
Should I specify these in Administer | System Settings | Scheduled Jobs | Send Scheduled Mailings?

Hey there,

That documentation is a bit outdated.

have a look at http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/job?reset=1 and wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Managing+Scheduled+Jobs
