I am getting the following error when trying to access a search page we have created.

CiviCRM-001 - An error has occurred.

Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
The requested Profile (gid=3) is disabled OR it is not configured to be used for 'Profile' listings in its Settings OR there is no Profile with that ID OR you do not have permission to access this profile. Please contact the site administrator if you need assistance.


From what I have read of similar errors this is a permissions issue.  I have checked the Public permissions against the demo site, as suggested in another post, but that has not worked.  I can see the Profile ID of 3 as being the Participant Status profile under Reserved Profiles.  Apart from that I am a little stumped as to what profile it is referring to.

Would be grateful of any assistance!

We're getting the same error on Advanced Search, after upgrading to 4.3.1.

The interesting thing is we don't use many profiles, and I'm using an administrator account that has permissions for everything (I just double checked in Drupal).

I'm going to keep looking, but if anyone has any thoughts, we'd appreciate it!

Same here. What I've found is that the error comes up any time you include a value for Contact ID in an advanced search. Also happens if you select CiviCRM ID from the radio buttons in the search form at the upper left.

This doesn't help in the long run, but in the short run, if you use the search in the upper left and don't hit enter, but just wait for the ajax, it will pull the contact by id.
