Contribution forms: rogue membership amount label?
April 10, 2013, 07:19:35 am
Hi,

One of my contribution forms features a label which, despite digging around, doesn't appear to be editable, but is completely wrong.

The label appears to the left of the membership radio button (where the form has only one mandatory membership available, with other contribution amounts disabled). On the page it falls inside a DIV tag with the class "crm-section membership_amount-section". At the moment, the label refers to a different membership type.

Has anyone seen this before, or know where I can edit the text? We've looked everywhere!

Thank you.

Simon

Simon - pls post a screenshot and let us know which label text is 'rogue'.
In general, assuming you're on 4.2 or 4.3 all the labels are stored in price_field and price_field_value tables. For online contribution pages which don't explicitly use price sets, these are not editable except via direct DB access. However, you can convert the page to use an explicit price set - and then you will have access to edit the labels from Manage Price Sets.

Before you do that, it would be good to see what's being displayed - and also get any history you can provide on the page because it sounds like there may be a bug (migrating pages to the price set model was done in the 4.2 upgrade).
