Submit Credit Card Membership fails to set Contribution Type

Using Drupal 6.28, CiviCRM 4.2.9 and eWay Payment Processor.

When creating a new membership using Submit Credit Card Membership a contribution record is created but the contribution_type_id is set to NULL. The effect of this is that the Contribution record is not displayed when clicking on the Contributions tab (although it does show that there is a contribution) and when viewing the Membership from Membership tab the contribution is not displayed.

Would it be possible for someone to check this error? If I were able to I would try to fix it myself but I am not a programmer. It is causing problems for us since we now have to hack the database every time the function is used.

Might want to check and ensure if this is still a problem in 4.3 with D7 and the dummy payment processor

If so, there is a higher likelihood of it being fixed :)
