CKEditor missing everywhere after upgrade to 4.2.9
April 14, 2013, 11:35:28 am
I just upgraded from 4.1.6 to 4.2.9 (using Drupal 6; luckily just a practice run on my test server).  It seemed to go OK except now the CKEditor is missing everywhere it's supposed to appear (online registration confirmation/thank you; email composition; etc.).  It's completely grey - nothing there.

I've checked some obvious things:
   - CKEditor is the selected WYSIWYG display preference
   - the resource URLs are correct and if I view the html source code from the mailings page, the ckeditor.js script appears to be loading from the correct path:
          <script type="text/javascript" src="/mysite/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/ckeditor/ckeditor.js"></script>

I am assuming it's not a Drupal 6 problem because I've been told that version 4.2.9 should run OK on Drupal 6.

I don't know what else to try.  Any suggestions?

Many thanks,

Leslie Matthews ('bostaurus')

Check in Firebug for Firefox and look at the Net tab and the Console tab and look for errors.

Thanks!

I didn't see any errors under the console or net tabs, but weirdly, once I turned on firebug and turned if off again, the ckeditors started appearing appropriately.  It's way over my head why that worked, but I seem to be back in business now.

Thanks again...
