Issues with CiviCrm 4.3
April 14, 2013, 12:51:30 pm
Greetings,

I opened an account with civihosting, to make sure the hosting is not an issue.

I have a major issue: when I try to update the groups through the contact dashboard on the front-end I get this:

Site Administrators: This error may indicate that users are accessing this page using a domain or URL other than the configured Base URL. EXAMPLE: Base URL is .... but some users are accessing the page via ... or a domain alias like ...

Error type: Could not find a valid session key.

I did check that the base url is correct in the civicrm.settings.php on both user and admin sides.

Please advise.

As a matter of fact, what I would really need would be to only list the groups on the front-end contact dashboard rather then allowing the user to subscribe.

How do I modify the front-end dashboard? (i noticed a couple of threads; however I am just starting with civicrm; actual file names and paths would be appreciated :) )

Another weird thing:

I get this message:

Powered by CiviCRM 4.3.0. A newer version (4.3.0 ) is available for download.

Thank you,
Arylwen

I cannot reproduce the issue on your joomla demo server, as the admin account doesn't have access to create a menu linking to the contact dashboard.

You could see the issue when you create an account/membership (become a member menu item on the right) on www dot gtacademyboosterclub dot org.

If you could add the contact dasboard menu to the demo site we could test drive it there.

(I do get "invalid token' on your demo site though :), we can get around this by closing and reopening the browser.

Is there a way to make the groups read only on the dashboard? What are the files that generate the contact dashboard?

Thank you,
Arylwen

FYI - I still get the "Could not find a valid session key" error with drupal 7 and 4.3.5 so not so sure it has been "fixed." but also, not sure how to debug.
