Paying later

Is there a way for someone to come back and pay for an event online if they chose pay later when they registered?

not that i am aware of - send them to a 'fill in the amount' Contribution page - that is set to 'Event Fees' - and then maybe a Smart Group tracking them, so someone can do some back scene reconciliation (???)

I'm looking at that too.  Want to allow people to sign-up / reserve for an event and "pay later." but give them the option to pay online.  Problem is that we don't want to duplicate the event registration - just update when paid.  Ideally, we would present the event profile to them and allow changes (address, occupation, etc.) also, they may have a discount coupon.   Sending to a contribution page is messy since it doesn't link the payment to the event or update registration.

I thought I remembered hearing someone did something like this in the past ...
