Being able to create events from webform
April 15, 2013, 06:00:42 am
Hi,

We have a client that has 50 event organisers that need each month to add their new events to civi. The back-office is a bit too complicated for them, and we would like to simplify the process by using webform-civicrm

They have seen the webform-civicrm for participants, activity and contacts and are interested to sponsor the dev of adding the option to create events.

How many hours would be needed to add this feature?

They should be able to add the title, date and description, the event type and status (published) are pre-defined by the form. Very likely they will have custom fields linked to the event that needs to be exposed in the form.

It's not to edit the event, just to create it.

X+

Hey xavier, ping me on irc about this, I just finished writing a little ajax app that lets you create and edit events using a simplified interface. It uses all the new CRM.api goodness - I think you'll like it (and you might be able to adapt it to your needs)
