CIVIcontribute for Drupal 7 : where is it ?
April 19, 2013, 09:02:05 am
Hi,
I would like so much to try the last version of CIVI Contribute together with Drupal 7 distribution..
I have tried many times and during many hours..(installation of CIVICRM Drupal distribution, then the "core" and "non core" versions, etc...), but cannot find the CIVIcontribute module through my modules administration panel...
Does it exist ?? ??? Where is it ? Does CIVI CRM integrate CIVIcontribute, or shall I install that module separately ? where can I download it ?

can you help me out ?

thanks !

Hey there,

Thanks for asking :)

CiviCRM has its own conception of components, which are different from drupal modules.

From the CiviCRM menu, go to administer > system settings > enable civicrm components and select CiviContribute from that screen.

I don't *think* we make that explicit in the documentation or the configuration checklist  - one to add.

thanks for your reply
after activating the CICRM module, I've got that error message :

Notice: Undefined index: description in drupal_check_module() (line 1219 of /homez.705/..../www/includes/install.inc).
(Currently using CiviCRM settings does not exist CiviCRM settings file does not exist. It should be created by CiviCRM install)

then, when I click on "install", I get a screen where I need to fill 2databases (one for CIVICRM, one for Drupal):
Your database settings don't appear to be correct. Please check the Database Details below for specific errors.

MySQL server:
MySQL username:
MySQL password:
MySQL database:

and get those errors messages :
I can't create new databases
Unable to create InnoDB tables. MySQL InnoDB support is required for CiviCRM but is either not available or not enabled in this MySQL database server. Could not determine if mysql has innodb support. Assuming no

etc.

but I got only one database to run my Drupal. Do I need to have/create a second database (my internet Provider give me the possibility to have one only).
through PhpMyadmin, I cannot create a new database....

any idea ?

thanks

U can use the same drupal db for civicrm

however, you need InnoDB support which you dont seem to have. that is the bigger problem, IMO

thanks,
No, it's OK about INnoDB, I've just checked. But My MysQL 5.1 does not allow me to create triggers. that is the only obstacle I need to overcome now... :(

do you know what version of MysQL I should use to allow me to create triggers ?
Do you know a free MySQl provider in the cloud I could use to test CIVICRM ?
thanks :P

it's not just about mysql version - it is about your mysql permissions.  if i were you i would try googling around for "trial civicrm hosting".
