Struggling with extensions - Error: Can't locate Clickatell Extension

Hi All-

Excited to be testing out 4.3! Thanks for all the work!

 I'm stumbling a little with extensions (this is the first time I've set it up). (I had SMS working on 4.2.)

Just installed 4.3 and trying to get the Clickatell extension set up.  I think the provider details are correct (they persist from the old installation).

I went to Manage Extensions, downloaded the Clickatell extension.  The Clickatell module looks like it is in the correct directory -- so this seems to have worked.

I set the Resource URL with the same path (as per the great little help box), which CiviCRM changed to an http path.

Extension directory: /home/vsource4/www/new/sites/vsourceresearch.org/files/civicrm/extensions
Resource URL (as converted by CiviCRM): http://new.vsourceresearch.org//home/vsource4/www/new/sites/vsourceresearch.org/files/civicrm/extensions

I tried that.  I got the error: Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
Could not locate extension for Clickatell.

I made the Resource URL more sensible: http://new.vsourceresearch.org/files/civicrm/extensions

Same error.

I think I must be making a newbie mistake.  But I can't figure it out. 

We do have a multi-site install, and I did try installing the extension in main sites/default directory, but got the same error.

Can anyone spot an obvious error?

Older mechanism of sms would fill sms provider in slightly different way in the backend, than the new sms extension does. Probably thats what is causing the conflict somewhere.

I would suggest you remove sms providers (after taking notes/backup), uninstall and then re-install clickatell extension.

Thanks so much. That did the trick.

I installed and uninstalled the extensions a dozen of times, but didn't think to reset the SMS providers. 

Note to others: any differences are in the back-end.  Your SMS provider set up -- from the UI -- will look identical, so just copy your settings before you delete.
