We have a post registration webform that needs to be filled out. Want to automatically set up a scheduled reminder for events. We can use groups alone, but saw an option to schedule reminders on an event template. Does that just add the reminder to the template so future events created from the template will have the reminder or does it affect any existing event created with the template?

It will affect only the future events that are created from the template and won't affect the already created events from the template.
