Export to CSV not working with non-english character.
April 29, 2013, 12:47:44 am
Am using 'Polish' language with my application and some of the data in non-english character. When i try to export to CSV it is showing  some special character but it is showing correctly in Notepad.
What could be the issue? How i can fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

In what application is it not correct? If in Notepad it's correct, then it sounds like the problem is in your other program, such as Excel.

Hi,

Excel is not importing properly csv files with utf8 (eg. with polish chars). Either you switch to a software that doesn't try to screw you up on purpose: openoffice or libreoffice

Or you install an extension that works around excel deficiencies (set up extensions on your install and add this one)
