Cannot search on CiviCRM ID
April 30, 2013, 03:46:10 am
In advanced search in 4.3.1, when I search for the CiviCRM ID I get the message 'The requested Profile (gid=600) is disabled OR it is not configured to be used for 'Profile' listings in its Settings OR there is no Profile with that ID OR you do not have permission to access this profile.
Searching for  the ID works in the quick search box, but not in advanced search, which makes me think that this is a bug.  Is there something I'm missing here?  This seems so basic...by the way, this particular  ID does exist.

Sorry... I mean when I use the quick search box (top left) to search for the CiviCRM ID... it works.  Advanced search fails with the error described.

Re: Cannot search on CiviCRM ID

I just reproduced this problem on the (drupal) demo system.  Took me two goes, though.   First I did advanced search for contact id 2, which it found.  Then I tried advanced search for 300 (which doesn't exist) and it crashed.  Also tried id 100 (which does exist) in advanced search and it crashed.  But quick search worked every time. Should I raise this as an issue?
PS. Also crashes first time on Wordpress demo website.

can you file an issue for this and preferably investigate and submit a patch. Seems like the contact id field was renamed in 4.3, not sure why

thanx

I have reported this as an issue as http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-12475
Would that I could fix this!  My programming skills are PL/1 and Clipper (and Smalltalk)  which perhaps shows my age, not PHP.
I would certainly be willing to help test Civi though...just let me know how I can help.

Same issue here.

If it helps at all:
If you enter the id into the ajax search and wait, the system finds the contact.
If enter the id and then hit "enter" -- it goes to advanced search and gives the error.

Searching directly through advanced search yields the same error.
