Prior to CiviCRM 4.3.x we were able to expose the standard contact view to a suitably privileged front end user, i.e. someone not logged in to the Joomla back end as an administrator.  However, in CiviCRM 4.3.x, the Summary tab gets a repeat of the home page displayed with Firefox, Chrome, and Opera, but not with Internet Explorer.  I flagged this as an issue (http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-12418), but as this functionality is not supported in CiviCRM at the moment, the development team can't help.  I've attempted to investigate what is causing it;  it seems that the home page gets invoked after the summary page is displayed - i.e. there is an extra call to index.php, but I've so far been unable to discover where this is happening.  Have any of you good people any suggestions?

It is much more user friendly for people not to have to log on to CiviCRM again.
