I'm tearing my hair out! Any guidance would be appreciated.
Drupal 6 / Civi4.2.7

PROBLEM: New Drupal registrations: the users email address is not passed through to the CiviCRM contact record.
If I don't have a linked profile no CiviCRM contact is created.
With a linked profile the CiviCRM record is created but excludes the email address.

The profile has email as a required field.

I tried upgrading to 4.3.1 but the problem remained.

Thanks to Eileen at fuzion.co.nz who helped find/resolve the problem.

There was no location type set to 'default' = I didn't have a primary address type.
