Activity Profile
May 01, 2013, 11:06:36 am
I'm trying to create a profile with fields from an activity, but Activity Type is not available in the field dropdown to add to the profile. I've checked this on the live 4.2.7 version I am running, as well as the WordPress demo site on civicrm.org running 4.3.1. Is this an omission, or am I missing something?

I'm trying to build a form that will let people come to our website and tell us if they have called their state representative about an issue in response to a bulk email we have sent out.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Guy

Unfortunately, this doesn't work out the box. As you have noticed, you can't choose the activity type. Also if you mix Individual and Activity fields in one profile you can't use the profile to create new records.
You will get an error like "Profile search, view and edit are not supported for Profiles which include fields for more than one record type."

You can use the Drupal module Webform CiviCRM Integration to do exactly what you want though. I recommend installing the module and giving it a try. If you have any questions ask in the Drupal module forum.

Thanks lolas. Unfortunately, I was trying to do this on a  WordPress site, but I have another client with a Drupal site that I'll probably give this a go on when I have a chance.

Thanks again.
