Initial action after entering CiviCRM logs out of Joomla Administrator

I apologize if this is not in the correct area, but I have searched for the answer and cannot find anything related.

I am using CiviCRM 3.4.7 in Joomla 1.5.25.  Upon the initial login to Joomla and CiviCRM, the first action I take (example search or create a new mailing), I can do for example a search, but when I try to access one of the records, I am completely logged out of the Joomla Administrator.  I can log back in and everything works fine for the remainder of the time. 

Any suggestions in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Check if your URL is changing--like adding or dropping the "www" part.

The URL does change.  The initial url does not have www, but when it logs off it adds the www........

Hershel,

Thanks for pointing to a possible cause.  I found that as long as I login to Joomla with www.domainname.com/administrator everything works fine.  If I login with domainname.com/administrator when I go into Civicrm, then I am logged out when trying to perform a function.  Is there a way to fix this so that regardless of how a person logs into the Joomla Administrator, he/she will not be logged off?

No, I don't think so. CiviCRM requires one or the other of the URLs (with or without www) to be set as the base URL.
